Through the autumn months, we focused on the thing that brought us all together - cooking! New recipes were developed with seasonal vegetables, like delicious beets.

Kukhnia has seen some serious renovation, and a powerful ventilation system was installed. On days when there is no electricity we are serving cold snacks to our shelters.

An industrial cheese-slicer that we recently got is helping a lot. Still, electricity and heating will be an issue in the coming months. Even with thermostats installed, fan heaters produce exorbitant electricity bills. We are looking for a more sustainable solution to carry us till spring.
